Education
Calvary Church is a place where spiritual seekers can gather in a safe community of faith, questioning and learning, reflecting, and sharing diverse viewpoints.
The Adult Christian Education Committee (ACE) is a lay-led group that seeks to nurture the faith and spiritual growth of the Calvary community through inspirational and challenging education offerings for adults. These classes are led by clergy, lay volunteers, and guest speakers from local colleges, seminaries, churches, synagogues, and non-profit organizations.
Sunday morning classes for children use Godly Play as its foundation, while youth focus on learning to interact as a community of faith and learning how faith shapes their daily lives.
Faith formation classes for children, youth, and adults are offered on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings during Koinonia. All adult classes are open to the adult community as a whole. This openness allows people to choose classes rather than be placed in them.
There also are opportunities for continued study through bible studies and retreats.
